Aiming for the double points in Germany

The time of the semi-finals in the NASCAR Euro Whelen has arrived. The Oschersleben circuit in Germany hosts this weekend’s semi-finals of this season, which offer double points to the winners and the chance for big upsets!

Thomas Krasonis, the first Greek professional racing driver, is already at the German circuit, where the sixth race weekend of this season’s EuroNASCAR will be held.

The sixth race of the season is perhaps the most important “rendez vous”, as the points won by each driver will count double. Therefore, for Thomas Krasonis it is a very good opportunity for him to get even closer to the top of the two categories’ standings.

The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben offers a unique experience with many off-track attractions, making the first round of the playoffs a fantastic celebration for NASCAR fans in Germany and across Europe. Helicopter flying, American ball sports, country music and a wide variety of food are just a few examples of the great spectacle that the German track offers from the first EuroNASCAR event in 2023. The track is 3.7 kilometres long and opened its gates in 1997.

The weekend’s racing programme starts with qualifying which will take place on Saturday at 10.50am (Athens time). The first races in both the PRO category (at 2.10 p.m. (Athens time) and category 2 (at 5.50 p.m. (Athens time)) will be held on Saturday.

On Sunday, the EuroNASCAR 2 drivers will start their second race at 11.40 a.m. (Athens time), to conclude the weekend’s programme with the PRO category race at 3.25 p.m. (Athens time).

We recall that Thomas Krasonis is participating this year in both EuroNASCAR categories, EuroNASCAR 2 and EuroNASCAR PRO, with the team with which in 2023 he made the big step in his racing career, Marko Stipp Motorsport.

Thomas is driving the number “46” Chevrolet Camaro at all Championship tracks this year, following a full schedule to maximise his track time and challenge for both titles.
