Highly successful racing weekend in Oschersleben for Thomas Krasonis

The race weekend at the Oschersleben circuit in Germany was extremely successful for Thomas Krasonis. The first Greek professional racing driver, completed his presence in the double semi-final of the season in EuroNASCAR, with results that make him more than optimistic ahead of the grand final in Zolder, Belgium on 12 and 13 October!

In Saturday’s first race in the PRO class, Krasonis started from the last position on the grid due to a mechanical problem his car had in qualifying. However, not only was he not disappointed, but by driving impressively in the race, he managed to finish in the top ten, finishing ninth and gaining valuable points. At the same time he was second in the Juniors category.

In Sunday’s race, Thomas Krasonis finished sixth, while he was third in the juniors, completing an ideal weekend in the PRO category.

In EuroNASCAR 2, Thomas Krasonis set sixth time in qualifying, securing his presence on the third row of the grid for Saturday’s race. The race went even better for the Greek driver, who touched the podium, finishing fourth, just a few thousandths of a second behind Gil Linster.

In Sunday’s race he was also sixth on the grid, a position he maintained throughout the race despite the tough battles he fought.

Thanks to the very good results of the weekend in Oschersleben, Thomas Krasonis moved up several places in both the PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 standings. In PRO he is now in ninth place with 330 points, while he is third in the Juniors’ individual standings.

In the EuroNASCAR 2 standings he is now fourth with 374 points, just 62 away from the top. He is also third in the Endurance Teams Championship standings with 211 points.
