Krasonis: “We’re all set!”
It may have been nearly six months since the curtain fell on last season at Zolder and the triumph of winning the OPEN class title, yet Thomas Krasonis hasn’t let up at all during this time.
He trained daily at the gym under the guidance of Paul Tympas, in order to be in peak physical condition ahead of the extremely demanding season. Meanwhile, in February, Thomas Krasonis competed in races at the New Smyrna track in the United States, where he had the opportunity to race against top NASCAR drivers and gain invaluable experience ahead of the new racing season.
“We’ve done plenty of winter testing, and I believe we’re fully prepared,” emphasized Thomas Krasonis, adding: “For the second consecutive season, we will be partnering with the Championship’s top team, PK Carsport, which gives me a sense of security and confidence regarding the car’s thorough preparation and our level of competitiveness.”
He continued: “I feel ready in every respect. Obviously, the start of every racing season comes with its challenges, but what we’re doing is focusing on the big picture, which is the championship! The season opener is important, but the points from each race are even more crucial. By the time the playoffs roll around, we need to have built up the biggest possible lead over the other title contenders in the V8GP. I’d especially like to thank my sponsor, Costamare Shipping Company, which is standing by my side once again this year, supporting our efforts.”
